Will there still be things that will be left out or will the update streamline everything and resolve the misconceptions?Ī friend of mine was confused as well.he thought he bought a complete game and according to him something crucial was missing. Originally posted by Nerdiness:just to clarify, So no, you don't need to own game 1 to play the second, and you don't need to install game 1 in order to play the third campaign So basically, you are buying 2 games with 3 games worth of content. These numbers will increase with more faction FLC and race and lord packs (Tomb Kings alone will add 4 playable races, and each lord pack adds 2) The ME campaign will have 37 playable legenday lords and 27 playable factions, spread out all across the giant map, and there will be 117 factions present in total. In this campaign, you can play as any race from both games (including DLC races if you own any, which don't have to be installed on game 1 either). You only need to have game 1 in your steam library, not installed to access it (only accessable on game 2). In this extra campaign, CA have made a new maps that combines most of the map from game 2, and the Old world together. That being said, in a few weeks, CA will be releasing a second campaign called Mortal Empires, which will be available to those who bought both games. ![]() In all areas, it is it's own game, and doesn't require game 1 to play. Playing as such, you get to play as the 8 new factions (with at least 10 more given as DLC or FLC) with more content, tweaking, race diversity, etc than the first game has. Ok so here's the deal, Warhammer 2 is a standalone sequel, meaning you don't need to own or install the first game to play it.
